NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Soccer capped off a strong 2025 season. The Belles finished the season with an 8-5-3 overall record, the first above .500 season since 2013.

The Belles started the season with an eight-game unbeaten run including five straight wins to open the year. In those games, Saint Mary's outscored their opponents 22-3 while outshooting their opponents 117-49. They also scored at least three goals in five of those matches while scoring five goals in back-to-back games against North Central University (MN) and Bluffton University.

Saint Mary's finished MIAA play with a 2-5-1 record which included wins over the University of Olivet and Alma College and a 2-2 draw against Albion College in the home finale.

As a team, the Belles finished with 31 goals on the year, the most for the team since 2018. The team averaged 1.94 goals per game while tallying 241 total shots and 122 shots on goal, averaging 15.1 shots per game. They added 20 assists on the 31 goals.

Defensively, the Belles made 51 saves while allowing 25 goals on 158 shots, allowing less than 10 shots per game (9.9).

Freshman
Mia Johnson (Mission Viejo, CA) led the team in almost every offensive category. Leading in goals (12), points (26), shots (62), shots on goal (25), and game winning goals (4). She was also one of four Belles to start all 16 games while playing 1,120 minutes. Johnson was also named to the All-MIAA Second Team earlier this week.

Junior
Brooke Baumann (Bartlett, IL) and sophomore
Isabella Kreydich (Tinley Park, IL) both added five goals each. Sophomore
Danielle Escobedo (Yorba Linda, CA) also added multiple goals with two. Seven Belles added one goal to the teams tally. Baumann added three game-winning goals while also going a perfect 4-4 from the penalty spot on the season.

Kayla O'Neal (Carlsbad, CA), and freshmen

Marley Cady (Cincinnati, OH) each added two.

Saint Mary's split time this season between two goalkeepers. Sophomore
Keona Caraballo (Parma, OH) played in 13 games while starting 12 and tallied 34 saves. Freshman
Meghan Krayer (Hinsdale, IL) played in five games while starting four making 17 saves. The two combined for six shutouts.Â

Johnson's 12 goals are the most in a season for a Belle since 2018 while her 26 points are the most since 2019. She tallied two hat-tricks on the season, against Concordia University Chicago and Earlham College, becoming the first Belle since 1997 to record multiple hat-tricks in a single season. Johnson is just the 11th player in program history to record at least 12 goals in a season while becoming the 13th player to tally at least 26 points in a season. Her 62 shots ranks her third all-time at Saint Mary's for shots in a season while she tied the program record for game-winning goals in a season with four. After just one season at Saint Mary's, she ranks tied for fourth all-time in game-winning goals.Â

Baumann sets the program record for penalty kicks converted in a season (4). Caraballo becomes just the ninth goalkeeper in program history to tally seven or more wins in a season.
