NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Soccer seniors
Janelle Aiello (Plymouth, MI) and
Grace Reyda (Penfield, NY), along with junior
Claire Keely (Acworth, GA), and sophomores
Isabella Kreydich (Tinley Park, IL) and
Kayla O'Neal (Carlsbad, CA) were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District for NCAA Division III. This is Keely's second straight year receiving the honor while it is the first for Aiello, Reyda, Kreydich, and O'Neal.

To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Award, the student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials and at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale). They must have reached a sophomore athletic and academic standing at the institution and must have completed at least one full year at the institution (transfer students are immediately eligible).

Aiello, a chemistry and chemical engineering major, appeared in all 16 games for the Belles while starting in five. She scored her first collegiate goal in the home opener win over Governors State University for two points on the season.

Reyda, the nursing major, made 14 appearances for the Belles while starting 13 games. She scored one goal in the home finale against Albion College while tallying a team high three assists for five points on the season.

Keely, a physics and environmental engineering major, played a key role in defense for the Belles off the bench, playing in all 16 games while making three starts. Keely helped the Belles record six shutouts on the season and played a season-high 65 minutes in the win over Governors State.

Kreydich, the finance major, played and started all 16 games for the Belles. She added five goals on the season while tied for the team high with three assists, totaling 13 points for the sophomore. She tallied a brace in the Belles win over Bluffton College and played all 90 minutes in four matches.

O'Neal, a physics and mechanical engineering major, played a strong role for the Belles defense in her first season, playing and starting all 16 games. O'Neal helped lead the Belles to six shutouts while adding two assists and scoring in the win over North Central University (MN), totaling four points. She ranked first on the team in minutes played (1,404) while playing 90 minutes in 14 matches. Was named MIAA Defensive Player of the Week for performances against Anderson University and Wheaton College.

The Belles as a team finished the year with an 8-5-3 overall record and a 2-5-1 MIAA record, finishing seventh in the conference.
