Trio of Belles Earn Saint Mary’s Weekly Honor

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Lacrosse junior Kathryn Kalinowski (Atlanta, GA) and Tennis doubles partnership of senior Emma Kealy (Hudson, OH) and sophomore Shannon Dudy (Glenview, IL) were named Belles Athletes of the week.
 
Kalinowski's stellar week was highlighted by an incredible eight assist performance in the Belles win over Beloit College. She tied the previous record of six in the first half alone. Midway through the third quarter, Kalinowski found freshman Carly Lenhart (Ada, MI) to set the record, then adding to her already record setting performance in the fourth quarter.
 
She also helped lead the team to three total wins on the week, extending the Belles dominant start with an 8-1 record. She added two more hat-trick of assists in wins over Franklin College and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Kalinowski finished the week with 15 total assists and added four goals for 19 points.
 
Kealy and Dudy combined for two wins at number one doubles in MIAA opening wins for Saint Mary's over Albion College and Alma College. The duo earned a dominant 6-0 win over the Britons to kick off MIAA play before closing out the weekend with a 6-2 win over the Scots.The duo improved to 12-7 on the season while having an 11-6 record in dual matches.
 
Individually, Kealy earned back-to-back wins at number one singles in the wins over the Britons and Scots. She earned a dominant 6-0 6-0 win over Albion and a strong 6-1 6-1 win over Alma. Dudy would follow that up with two wins at the number three singles slot. She earned a 6-1 6-1 win at Albion before finishing up the weekend with a 6-2 6-4 at Alma.
 
Kalinowski and Belles Lacrosse kick off MIAA play this week with two games on the road. They will travel to Alma College on Wednesday, April 1, to take on Alma in their conference opener. Saint Mary's then heads to Albion on Saturday, April 4, before returning home for the MIAA home opener on Tuesday, April 7, to host Adrian College.
 
Kealy, Dudy, and Belles Tennis started the new week with a 7-0 win over the University of Olivet in their annual Morgan's Message match on Monday at home. Saint Mary's will continue MIAA play on Tuesday, April 7, with a trip to Trine University. They will next play at home on Wednesday, April 15, to host Adrian.
