NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Volleyball senior Abby Reese (Elkhart, IN) was named Belles Athlete of the Week after leading the Belles to a dominating 3-0 win over the University of Olivet last week.

Reese would lead the team with a match high 20 assists on the evening, helping the Belles hit a strong .264 with 42 kills on the night. Reese also made a strong impact for the team serving, as she served the ball the most out of any player in the match, and helped the Belles score 14 points off her serves alone across the three sets, adding an ace along the way. Reese contributed in all aspects of the game, adding two kills and five digs, in a very consistent performance for the senior.

Reese and the Belles will be on the road for back-to-back matches, starting on Friday when they travel to Alma College for a 7pm matchup before closing out the road schedule on November 4 at Adrian College. The Belles close out the regular season on November 7 as they host Trine University for a 1pm matchup. Against the Thunder, the Belles will also be honoring Reese as a part of their senior day celebration.
