CHARLOTTE, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Cross Country kicked off the 2025 season at the Comet Invite in Charlotte, Michigan on Friday night. The Belles would take home a third place finish out of six MIAA opponents.
Junior Savannah Paulson (Carmel, IN) led the charge for Saint Mary's with a 21st place finish and a time of 19:48.7. Junior Jordan Siminski (Crown Point, IN) followed closely behind Paulson, finishing in 23rd place with a time of 19:55.2. Junior Cecilia Conrad (Norton Shores, MI) and sophomore Allie Glendening (Berrien Springs, MI) would round out the Top 30 finishers for the Belles, Conrad finishing in 28th with a time of 20:02.1 and Glendening in 29th with a time of 20:06.3.
Freshman Jackie Clemente (Richmond, IN) would finish with a time of 20:13.4 in her first collegiate race, finishing in 33rd. Fellow freshman Katelyn Huber would follow in 40th place with a time of 20:33.9. Senior Isabelle Auch (Montague, MI) would come close behind Huber with a time of 20:43.
The Belles would have three straight finishers in senior Mary Weber (Naperville, IL) and freshmen Mary Caroline George and Sarah Couri (Germantown Hills, IL). Weber would finish with a time of 21:13.3 while George would follow with 21:15.3 and Couri with 21:24.3.
Freshman Megan McClain (Chicago, IL) would finish with a time of 21:38.8 in her first collegiate race while juniors Josie DeWine (Yellow Springs, OH) and Anna Scannell (Cedar Falls, IA) would follow with times of 21:59.4 and 22:21.6 respectively. Freshman Greta Duke (Shelbyville, IL) would round out the competitors for the Belles as she finished with a time of 22:39.2.
