ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Saint Mary's College Basketball fell to Webster University on Saturday, 82-17. The Belles fall to 4-6 on the year while the Gorlocks improve to 5-2.
Webster controlled the first quarter as they forced Saint Mary's into nine turnovers in the first ten minutes. Both teams shot around 50% in the quarter with the Gorlocks having a slight edge, 52% to 47% as they took a 26-17 lead into the break. Sophomore Ella Notaro (Crystal Lake, IL) led five scorers for Saint Mary's with five points while also leading the team with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
After a strong shooting start to the second quarter, the Belles simmered down as the Gorlocks saw their lead extend. Webster went into the locker room with a 44-32 lead after both teams struggled to score to end the half, Webster hitting one of their last four field goals while Saint Mary's hit one of their last six. Notaro moved into double figures with 11 points to lead the team while junior Annie Restovich (St. Louis, MO) added six off two three-pointers.
Webster came out strong in the third quarter, outscoring Saint Mary's 20-12 to go into the fourth with a 64-44 lead. Notaro finished the quarter with 13 points while junior Kate Restovich (St. Louis, MO) finished the first 30 minutes with eight.
The Belles started to fire back in the fourth quarter as they outscored the Gorlocks, 27-18, in the final ten minutes. The comeback came up just short as Webster took home the 82-71 victory.
Notaro led the team with a career high 18 points and six steals. Kate and Annie Restovich would add 15 and 14 points each in their return to their hometown. Freshman Liv Fry (Fort Wayne, IN) led the team with eight rebounds while Notaro grabbed seven and Kate Restovich grabbed six.

Saint Mary's returns home for their final two non-conference games to close out 2025. The Belles play host to Elmhurst University on Saturday, December 20, before hosting Earlham College on December 30.
