ADRIAN, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Basketball fell at Adrian College, 98-68, in their first MIAA road test of the season on Wednesday. The Belles fall to 4-5 (0-3 MIAA) while the Bulldogs improve to 5-4 (2-1 MIAA).
Adrian used their size to get out to an early lead on Saint Mary's in the first quarter. The Bulldogs led 27-16 after the first ten minutes with 22 of their points coming from midrange or in the paint. The Belles knocked down three three-pointers in the quarter while also going 5-6 from the line. Sophomore Ella Notaro (Crystal Lake, IL) led the team with five points in the quarter.
While Saint Mary's kept the second quarter deficit closer, Adrian continued to keep them at a safe distance throughout the entire first half, leading 50-35 at the half. The Belles continued to shoot well in the first half, finishing the first 20 minutes shooting 45% from the field and 47% from three-point. Junior Annie Restovich (St. Louis, MO) moved up to 11 points on the game with eight in the second quarter while junior Kate Restovich (St. Louis, MO) moved up to eight.
The third quarter was the highest scoring for both teams in the game as the Bulldogs outscored the Belles 31-23 to head into the fourth quarter with an 81-58 lead. Saint Mary's knocked down two more three-pointers in the quarter while also going to the free throw line an incredible 14 times and converting 11. Kate Restovich led the scoring for the Belles in the quarter, putting up an impressive 13 points as her total moved to 21.
The two teams struggled to convert from the field in the fourth quarter, both shooting their lowest percentages of the night. This would help Adrian keep their strong lead and close out the game with a 98-68 victory.
Kate Restovich led the Belles with a season high 21 points while going an impressive 10-11 from the free throw line. Freshman Liv Fry (Fort Wayne, IN) put up a career high 15 points on the night while Annie Restovich added 14 of her own, going 4-6 from three-point.Â
Fry also led the team with five rebounds and five assists while her and sophomore Kori Dues (Noblesville, IN) snagged two steals each. Saint Mary's shot 38.7% from the field on the game while shooting 40.7% from three point and an impressive 80.8% from the free throw line, knocking down 21 of the 26 attempts.

Saint Mary's kicks off the first of three non-conference games to close out 2025 on Saturday as they travel to St. Louis, MO to take on Webster University. The Belles then return home for back-to-back games as they host Elmhurst University on December 20 and Earlham College on December 30.
