NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Soccer fell to Adrian College, 4-0, on Saturday. The Belles fall to 6-3-2 (0-3 MIAA) while the Bulldogs improve to 5-7-1 (2-1 MIAA).
 
Saint Mary's honored their six seniors on Saturday before the game. Seniors Janelle Aiello (Plymouth, MI), Grace Reyda (Penfield, NY), Lauren Ryan (Carmel, IN), Izzy Sherman (Fort Wayne, IN), Ava Slater (Fort Wayne, IN), and Brynn Stauffacher (Osceola, IN).
 
The Belles dominated the game offensively in the first half, controlling the ball for the majority of the first 45 minutes. Saint Mary's couldn't get the ball into the back of the net while leading Adrian, 3-1, in shots while also dominating with four corners to Adrian's zero in the first half.
 
Adrian came out and took a 1-0 lead in the 53rd minute. The Bulldogs continued to find the back of the net as they would score three more times to shutout the Belles, 4-0. 
 
The Saint Mary's continued to control the ball in the second half and outshoot Adrian, 12-6, while outshooting them 6-5 in shots on goal.
 
Ryan and freshman Mia Johnson (Mission Viejo, CA) led the team with three shots while sophomore Isabella Kreydich (Tinley Park, IL) and freshman Bella Musachio (Rochester Hills, MI) each added two. Johnson and Musachio both tallied two shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Keona Caraballo (Parma, OH) made one save on the day.

Saint Mary's closes out the homestand on Tuesday, October 14, as they host the University of Olivet with a 6pm kickoff. The Belles will also be celebrating their annual Morgan's Message Game to raise awareness for student-athletes mental health.
