NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Volleyball sophomore Lexi Szymanski (Walker, MI) was named Belles Athlete of the Week after her performance last week.
 
Szymanski played a key role in the Belles 3-0 sweep over Benedictine last Tuesday. Szymanski put up a career high nine kills on the night while not committing a single error. The sophomore would also finish the game hitting an incredible .563 on the night to lead the team. Szymanski would also tally six digs while adding two assists and a block on the game as well for 9.5 points.
 
Szymanski and the Belles hit the road this weekend as they take on a very competitive field at the Marilyn Scribner Invitational, hosted by Wheaton College. The Belles will play two games on both Friday and Saturday, kicking it off on Friday against Concordia University Chicago and Central College. They close out the weekend on Saturday against the hosts Wheaton and then finish against Aurora University. The Belles return home next week for games against Dominican University, September 22, and Beloit College, September 25.
