FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Tennis senior
Evelyn Demblans-Dechans (Missoula, MT) was named MIAA Player of the Week for her performances for the Belles over spring break.

Demblans-Dechans helped lead the Belles to a 3-2 record in Florida including a big win over Wheaton College. Saint Mary's also took home two 7-0 victories over Sweet Briar College and the University of Minnesota-Morris.

Demblans-Dechans went 6-2 on the week while also going 4-1 in doubles play and 2-1 in singles. She started off her week with a win at number two doubles with partner junior
Sophia Pischalko (Granger, IN), 6-1 over Sweet Briar. She then went 2-2 on their second day of play, earning a win at number two doubles with Pischalko over Dickinson College, 7-6, and a singles win over Ohio Northern University at number six, 6-2 6-3. Demblans-Dechans finished off her week with three wins on the final day of play. Earning a doubles and singles win over Wheaton, 6-2 at doubles number two with Pischalko and 6-0 6-3 at singles number four. She then finished off her week with a win at the number one doubles match, 6-1, while partnering up with fellow senior

Demblans-Dechans and the Belles return to the courts this Wednesday as they take on North Park University at the South Shore Health & Racquet Club in St. Joe, MI. They then kick off MIAA play with back-to-back matches on March 27 at Albion College and March 28 at Alma College.
