HUDSONVILLE, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Soccer is projected to finish seventh in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association in a vote submitted by the league officials Friday.
The nine team MIAA will feature a schedule with each team playing each other once for an eight-match conference schedule. The conference season will conclude with the MIAA Championships, featuring six programs, November 2-9. The first round of the 2024 MIAA Tournament will be held on Saturday, November 2, the semifinals on Wednesday, November 6, and the championship taking place on Saturday, November 9.
Calvin University was predicted to top the league, after winning last season's conference tournament and taking home the regular season title, with eight points, all being first-place votes. Hope College sits right behind the Knights with 16 points and the lone other first-place vote.
Following the Knights and Flying Dutch are Trine University, Adrian College, Albion College, Kalamazoo College, Saint Mary's, Alma College, and the University of Olivet.
The Belles begin the season with back-to-back road matches beginning on August 30 when they travel to Pasadena, California to take on Providence Christian College. They then head to Bluffton, Ohio to take on Bluffton University on September 4 before returning to the Purcell Athletic Fields for their home opener on September 7 against Knox College. Kick-off between the Belles and Prairie Fire is set for 11 a.m.
