FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's freshman Courtney Pelletier has been named as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Volleyball Specialist Athlete of the Week for her efforts from September 30 through October 6.
Pelletier, a native of Mishawka, Indiana, led the team with 43 digs on the week as the Belles posted a 2-0 record. She had 20 digs in a 3-1 conference victory against Adrian on Wednesday before leading all players with a 23-dig effort in a 3-2 win over Kalamazoo on Friday in her first two career matches as a libero. She averaged 4.78 digs per set while also posting a .980 reception percentage with 50 serve receptions.
It is the first MIAA Athlete of the Week honor of her career.
