Jordan Koehler

Jordan Koehler began her tenure as the head golf coach at Saint Mary's at the start of the Spring 2021 semester.

Koehler came to Saint Mary's after serving as the graduate assistant coach for the men's and women's golf programs at the University of Dubuque. In that role, she spent time coaching and managing both varsity programs since the fall of 2019. Koehler helped guide the Spartans' women's program to their first two American Rivers Conference championships in the fall 2019 and 2020 seasons. Dubuque was set to make their first NCAA Division III Championship appearance in the spring 2020 season before the cancellation of all championship events due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to her coaching experience, Koehler worked as a golf course assistant at both Soangetaha Country Club in Galesburg, Illinois and Thunder Hills Country Club in Dubuque, Iowa. In both roles, she helped orchestrate several tournaments and outings while assisting with junior golf programming.

Koehler put together a successful and highly-decorated four-year career at Illinois Wesleyan University, one of only three women's golf programs to make at least 15 NCAA Division III Championships. She earned College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) all-conference honors in each of her four seasons with the Titans and holds two of the ten lowest all-time season scoring averages in program history. Koehler set the Illinois Wesleyan record for birdies in a season in her sophomore year before beating her own record as a senior and is tops in the Titans' history book in career birdies. A four-year competitor at the NCAA Division III Championships for the Titans, Koehler led the team's efforts at the 2017 event. Additionally, she was part of four of the five lowest all-time team scoring averages in program history for the Titans. A three-time CCIW Golfer of the Week, she captured 2016 CCIW Tournament Medalist honors, earned team most valuable golfer accolades in 2017, and served as team captain from 2017-2019.

"I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to lead the Saint Mary's golf team," said Koehler. "I'd like to thank Athletic Director Julie Schroeder-Biek and the rest of the athletic staff for giving me this opportunity. I'm excited to pursue my passion in the division that has given me so much, and am eager to help my players reach their full potential in the classroom and on the course. I look forward to continuing the tradition of this program’s success both in the MIAA and nationally while building on the team culture."

Koehler is a 2019 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University where she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing. She also holds a master's degree in management with a focus in sport management from the University of Dubuque. She became the fourth head coach of the program since Saint Mary's joined the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association in 1997.
