FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's senior midfielder Kate Kelly garnered Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week accolades for her performance last week.
A native of Orland Park, Illinois, she had eight goals, four assists, six caused turnovers, 13 ground balls, and 17 draw controls in two wins last week as the lacrosse team captured their first MIAA regular season championship. In the contest against Albion which determined the MIAA champion, she led all players with six goals and seven total points while pulling down 11 draw controls.
It is the second time this season and the fourth time in her career she has been named an MIAA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.
