A freshman on the cross country team from Mount Propsect, Illinois, Julia led the team at the Pre-National Race in Louisville last Saturday. She was on-pace to break her own personal record 6k time at the race with a 3:46.7 average kilometer time through nearly 4k of the event. An error caused the race to be scored through the 3.9 kilometer mark as she posted a time of 14:44.3 and was 65th in a field of more than 250 runners.
A freshman on the volleyball team from Mishawaka, Indiana, Courtney was named the MIAA Specialist Athlete of the Week on Monday after her efforts last week. She led the team with 43 digs on the week as averaged 4.78 digs per set while also posting a .980 reception percentage with 50 serve receptions. She had 20 digs in a 3-1 conference victory against Adrian on before leading all players with a 23-dig effort in a 3-2 win over Kalamazoo in her first two career matches as a libero.
